This is my official last university project for second year. It was a self initiated project, and knowing me I chose music photography. I photographed Lithuanian band RoadKill. Got chance to shoot their rehearsal, soundcheck and a gig. Had loads of fun doing this project and they were really friendly.
Check them out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIkiezTLcY0&feature=relmfu

Whole Monday spent in digital darkroom and my final edit is here. It was really hard to choose final images, but here they are.
The whole idea is that a girl in the images is going from good to bad and it’s based on Three wise monkeys (know as ‘Speak no evil, hear no evil, see no evil)
We were also asked to think of the title for the article and which magazine it would fit the most. My choice is i-D magazine, but I’m still struggling with the title and the crit is tomorrow..

My first ever fashion shoot! Stylists made a good job, as well as make-up artist so everything went quite well and fun (: However, me being me, I’m not really digging the pictures. Maybe I just need time to get used to them.

The final critique for London project is in a week and I probably have my final edit now. Hopefully (: Lonely people in Regent street (:
If everything will be okay I should have these printed by tomorrows evening ((:

Second shoot for ‘Muse’ project. Still trying to achieve Terry Richardson style. Haven’t decided 100% if I’m going with black and white but I like how they look in B&W. We had sooo much fun at the shoot and the accidental tutors visits to the room we were shooting were quite fun ((:

I “love” how in the middle of the project I suddenly change my idea. My original idea for London (Living the London: People) project was to photograph Big Issue people.. But as I went out today to look for them I started doing street photography just for fun and I liked it too much to let go, so I’m sticking with it.
However, street photography is too wide for an idea, to my mind, so I was trying to figure some kind of theme, and probably will go with the: even though it always looks that there’s always a huge crowd of people in London, most of them are alone.
Therefore, going to concentrate of people who are alone on the crowds.. Maybe they’re just grabbing lunch, maybe they’re running late for a meeting, or maybe they’re just enjoying their alone time..
Looking forward to hear what my tutors will think about it and also looking forward for more shoots ^^
I don’t know if it’s just me or do some of the photos really look a bit like David C. Turnley’s photos that I posted few weeks ago.. Research does work ((: -
‘Muse’ project, was trying to achieve Terry Richardson look.
First attempt to use external flash, must say, wasn’t as scary as I was expecting it to be.Model: Eglė Tolušytė
